aquasilvercj's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is a furreal update! teh w0w! Holy cats. I cannot stand some of the people I work with. There are the awesome ones, and then there are the terrible ones. It basically divides like this: AWESOME PEOPLE = boys TERRIBLE PEOPLE = girls Sad, but true. There are, of course exceptions. This explains why I don't really like any of the apparel staff, because it's all-female. Today there was but one worker in apparel, and she told me at about 9:30, "I haven't even STARTED straightening yet. >makes face<" Then she continued looking through the bus schedule. I asked who else was there, and if she was going to start soon, and she said, "Well, I've been busy all day and haven't had a chance to." About five minutes later, as I was putting away returns, she was chatting with some other employees. A half-hour later, as I expected, she recruited John and I to help her straighten because she "ALWAYS helps us out." Um... always as in "I've never seen you help"? Right. I bet she gets paid more than I do, too. >.< Anyways, it was still bearable. Chris invited me to go to Barleycorne as a "last hurrah" because it's closing tomorrow. I was really surprised that he did, and pleased, because I always did want to hang out with the Shopko people. Ever since I started working, I both felt like and was an outsider, since almost the entire rest of the staff had worked with each other for a long time. I actually ended up going, and it was a pretty good time. Two of my bosses were there, along with John, Dan, Chris, Rochelle, and one of Chris' coworkers. I didn't really get to talk to anyone the whole time, except for Chris' coworker (damn, I cannot remember his name). We talked for more than an hour, we had a pretty great conversation, but when we went outside he hit on me, big time. He was twenty-four. JUST BECAUSE I'M EIGHTEEN AND NO LONGER JAILBAIT DOESN'T MEAN IT'S NOT CREEPY, DUMBASS. So I guess I was kind of mean and blew him off big time, I actually told him I was seeing someone. Heh. Yeah. But he knows where I work, and where I LIVE. We'll see what happens with that. Yeah. Went bowling with some chica friends yesterday. I started off with a spare, and it all went downhill after that. Duh hurrr. After that I went to "the apartment" and we watched Fight Club. And I did thank-you letters. =) If it weren't for the taxing effects of secondhand smoke on my lungs, it'd be one of my favorite places to be. =P XD Car status: still broken. Teh sad. I can't ever take it on road trips, since the front wheels have something wrong with the alignment (it makes a rubbing noise) but I can drive it around town fine, I guess. I had a vision the other day, driving on 52, that my front wheels just popped off and I went skidding into the side. I wonder what would happen... I think about sick things too much. That's about enough for now. I still have three thank-you letters to write. Two of them are to people that each gave me $100, and one of them is to someone with an unreadable last name. We'll see how that goes. 1:00 a.m. - July 10, 2004 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
